Enable is a FREE weight management programme run by expert nutrition and exercise coaches from ABL Health. There are no weekly member fees. It is not a diet – and it provides you with lifelong results.

We support you in making small but effective changes to your eating and drinking habits and becoming more active.

Sessions run in the day time and in the evening in various venues across Hull.

The aim of the 12 weekly sessions are to provide you with nutrition and healthy eating advice to

  • Help you to become more physically active
  • Help you to make lifelong changes
  • Help you lose weight and keep it off

Who provides the programme?

Enable is a FREE programme and the Hull City Council commissioned Health Trainer service for Hull, which is delivered by ABL Health

What can you expect from the programme?

  • A Personalised assessment; incorporating nutrition, exercise and emotional wellbeing in a Personalised Health Plan and then –
  • 12 weekly sessions held in venues across Hull (link to open on venues) which last1 ½ hours long once a week, which includes nutrition and exercise.
  • Followed by 9 months of monthly ‘Check in and Chat’ group support.
  • Run by expert nutrition and exercise coaches
  • Evidence based behaviour change APP support
  • Signposting and connections to local community networks
  • Face to Face reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months to assess progress and sustainable change

  • 45 minutes of nutritional advice and support
  • 45 minutes of low impact exercise
  • Tips on how to reach and maintain a healthy weight

We’re all about making small changes to enjoy better health. We won’t tell you what and what not to eat or drink, but will give you realistic advice on how to make healthier choices.
